Today’s the day you can decide to thrive! We had a great mastermind with Pili Bailey, owner of Essential Yoga Space, who taught us ways to tackle stress in our daily lives. We’re living in an unparalleled time, with stress coming at us from many different angles. By training our bodies and brains to process those emotions, we can show up more powerfully, in mind and in business!

  1. As a society, all of us deal with stress in some way each and every day. Take measures to try and notice when you are experiencing stress, then you can learn how to work through it. Negative self-talk, hypercriticism, and irritability are all cues that you need to take a step back and reset.
  2. Use tools such as yoga, meditation, aromatherapy, etc. to help you discharge stress and negative thoughts, transforming them into more positive feelings such as motivation, confidence, creativity, and focus.
  3. Do your best to let go of tension from situations you have no control over–the current socio-political climate, public health crises, the economy. Remind yourself of your circle of influence, things you can control (your attitude, habits, actions), and focus on creating positive change where you are able.
  4. If you’re still working from home, stay focused and organized! Create a plan to be productive throughout the day to tackle stress. Use block schedules, hourly calendars, or other planning tools to keep yourself on task. Give yourself a structured schedule in which to accomplish the things you have to do as well as what you want to do.
  5. Share your experiences with clients and other business owners you know–telling how you’ve overcome challenges and found ways to succeed (both in business and in your personal life) can help your customers and business partners feel more connected to you and will build a trust relationship for future opportunities.
