Get the most out of your contentAdapt & Thrive Mastermind, October 8th

We were excited to dive deeper into content creation with Matt Quirk. While producing content for your business, you can get lost in a dark cycle of dread and disappointment. You might be making up content last-minute, running out of ideas, or letting your posting schedule slide while focusing on other projects. How do you dig yourself out of this hole?! We discussed this at our most recent mastermind.

Our Top Takeaways

  • Make yourself a schedule for promotions and content themes you want to use throughout the year. Then, if possible, take a couple days (or even a whole week) off from your other work to plan the specifics and create your content. You’ll save yourself stress and time in the long run by having a month, several months, or even a whole year of content already fleshed out and ready to post.
  • We’ve said this before, and we’ll say it again: You don’t have to do it all yourself! Content is a worthwhile investment to seek help from experts and friends, and to support other local businesses through your projects.
  • When your energy is pulled in too many different directions, your business can’t and won’t make as much progress. In contrast, lots of focused energy equates to lots of focused progress!
  • If you’re creating video content, give it an authentic, interesting lead. Your goal should be to hook people’s attention with a beautiful, striking visual or draw them in with a compelling, relatable story. If you can manage both, go for it!
  • Entrepreneurs, in any stage, need to keep building a team and network. When you grow your web of contacts, you have more people to help you with projects, refer to customers, and reach out to for advice.

We want to remind you that Local Links will be hosting a brand-new monthly productivity meeting on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. This group is designed to help business owners create realistic goals, encourage one another, and hold each other accountable. October 20th is our first meeting! If you are interested in joining the Productivity Accountability Partners group, sign up here.
