Adapt & Thrive Mastermind, August 6th
This week we invited back our good friends at BAMit to present on how to stay sane while running a business. Boy, did we need this presentation! A huge thank you to Robyn Stein for inspiring us with her tips on becoming happy, healthy, thriving business owners!
Top Takeaways:
- Don’t forget to take care of your body! Get quality deep sleep each night, exercise (yoga, running, swimming, etc), and let your mind recharge.
- Allow yourself some time off once in a while! Set boundaries for your business hours and stick to those hours. Take brief vacations, spend time with family and friends, and find a creative hobby that helps relieve stress.
- Make your workspace as positive a place as possible. Clean it up, organize it, make it comfortable, and bring in inspirational pieces that motivate you.
- Diversify your networking groups. Maybe attend a new event you haven’t tried before, or join a local chamber of commerce. You could also search for local networking opportunities and pick one at random.
- Help your customers feel like their money is even more meaningfully spent by partnering with a non-profit organization. Our co-sponsor, BAMit, works with schools, charities, and other non-profits, so your clients can be happy that they’ve gotten value from your business AND given value to others in their community.
We love the Martin Luther quote Robyn left us with at the end of her presentation:
“Even if I knew that tomorrow the world would go to pieces, I would still plant my apple tree.” Go out and plant your trees, friends! Take that chance! Be brave and put yourself out there! Local Links and the other local business owners in our Adapt & Thrive Mastermind will do everything we can to help you succeed. And check out BAMit’s website here!
