Adapt & Thrive Mastermind, September 3rd
How productive were you this week? Some days are better than others, but it can be tricky to figure out why that is. Establishing good daily habits and having a plan to tackle procrastination or distractions can help you have a more successful workday. Brian Fife, CEO and founder of Local Links, shared tips that have helped him develop a more productive schedule.
Top Takeaways:
- Define your daily motivation: Who are you working to benefit–your family, your customers, your community? How will your productivity benefit those people? Your answers might be exactly the same or totally different from day to day.
- Keep your goals in mind but maintain focus on the task at hand. Consider using a planner to help you determine your goals and priorities for each day, week, and month.
- Break down larger projects into smaller chunks, giving yourself short breaks to recharge. If you have a brain block or are feeling overwhelmed, Don’t get so focused on a results-driven mindset that you forget to take care of yourself!
- Envision what “done” looks like, and work backwards to map out the steps you need to take to accomplish it.
- If you’re working from home, you may need to create cues to signal your brain that it’s time to focus. Set up your office at a specific table or desk, change your lighting during work hours, get dressed in your business attire, etc.
Brian shared some books and apps that have inspired and motivated him in his productivity journey. We’ll share a few of them below. Check them out and challenge yourself to get more organized. We’ll see you next week at the mastermind!
