We had a great turnout for our most recent mastermind, co-sponsored by Fritto Misto! General Manager Damien Taylor discussed how the beloved Italian restaurant shifted their perspective during the COVID crisis and adapted to become a carry-out restaurant/mini Italian grocery for their community.
Adapt & Thrive Mastermind, May 21st Here are our Top Takeaways:
- Have a workplace mastermind: brainstorm with your own team! Get everyone together and ask each person to give their best ideas for how your business can move forward.
- Keep up with your typical business mottos and traditions as much as you can. If your goal before was that each customer feels like family when they enter/exit your business, find ways to keep that going even while interactions look a little different.
- Consider how your ideal customer has and hasn’t changed. You are likely still aiming to reach the same client base, perhaps by different means. However, the adaptations you may have made have also opened up the opportunity to reach a new customer. Seize this opportunity!
- Remember the power of video and other media! Highlight features about your business or product in short video clips, photos, or other visual aids for customers to better connect with and understand what you can offer them. You can even ask people what they want to know about your business and craft your content around their questions or feedback.
- Think of how you can be proactive when it comes to new responsibilities due to the latest guidelines. Maintain order and policy as much as possible, but think of steps you can take to be prepared and make the foreseeable future a little less chaotic for yourself and your team.
