- The current climate is upping the importance of connecting to your local community and finding out what your customers are most in need of right now. Give people more than just savings–give them an ally who cares about the same things they do!
- At a time when the world can feel a little negative and people are looking for ways to help, think of how you can offer support and positivity. This is not necessarily time for self-promotion or offers, but more so a chance to give agency to a group or cause that is important to your community.
- A wonderful question to ask as you’re planning how to move forward, what next steps to take: What is potentially stopping your customers from saying “yes”?
- “Lead with the need.” (Thanks, Mimi Donaldson, for that quote!) Your client base may not feel like your product or service is absolutely necessary in the moment. You can better convince them to consider how you actually will help them now by laying out from the top what urgent need your business easily fulfills.
- Having power partners can be key in keeping your business relevant and connected. Find people who are willing to collaborate with you and who can help you think critically about your business and how you can best promote yourself.
